ONE HEALTH GO-Analytics  project

Early Warning System and Monitoring of Human and Environmental Health

The main objective of the ONE HEALTH GO-Analytics project is the study and implementation of different methods for identifying emerging contaminants and antimicrobial resistance genes, as well as characterizing bacterial populations, viruses, and protozoa throughout the entire water cycle—all framed within the One Health concept, which brings together human and environmental health. The implementation of an epidemiological surveillance tool will enable the early detection of contaminants and faster, more efficient decision-making by health authorities.

ONE-HEALTH GO Analytics also takes into account the entire water cycle, which refers to the complete process of water supply and treatment, from intake to final disposal. Therefore, the various processes and stages of the entire water cycle will be studied to determine the most relevant parameters to consider in monitoring human and environmental health.
