What we Offer?
Full-service Legionella control
A complete Legionella control service is provided, combining maintenance, water treatment and digitalisation to reduce sanitary risks.
Regulatory compliance
The Legionella Prevention and Control Plan (PPCL/PSL) is prepared, ensuring strict compliance with RD 487/2022.
Legionella analysis and detection
Legionella analyses are conducted in water, along with microbiological sampling, to ensure continuous and preventive control.
Digitalisation and monitoring
IoT systems are applied to monitor temperatures and critical parameters, improving prevention and real-time control, and optimising on-site tasks by minimising physical inspections.
Experience in sensitive facilities
Extensive experience in schools, sports centres, airports, care homes and other priority facilities where preventing Legionella is key.

FAQs
What does Legionella control and prevention involve?
Legionella control includes preparing sanitary plans (PPCL/PSL), periodic cleaning and disinfection of facilities, Legionella analysis in water and digital monitoring of critical parameters. All of this ensures outbreak prevention and compliance with RD 487/2022.
Effective prevention also depends on the correct execution of minor but crucial tasks, which do not require advanced technical intervention. These include:
- Drinking water tanks: Check and maintain chlorine levels around 1 ppm and regularly inspect chlorination equipment.
- Cold and hot water endpoints (taps, showers): Routine chlorine measurement (0.2–1.0 ppm) and temperature control (≥50 °C hot, <20 °C cold) to prevent Legionella proliferation.
- Water heaters and accumulators: Maintain temperature above 60 °C (preferably 70 °C) and ensure hot water lines are closed if a unit is out of service.
- Purges and drains: Regularly empty conduits and tanks with low use or water stagnation to prevent sediments and sludge.
- Periodic inspection and cleaning: Check the condition of facilities and endpoints, cleaning or replacing components showing sediment or scale.
These tasks, recorded and performed at the appropriate frequency, are essential for Legionella control and water safety, and facilitate compliance during health authority inspectio.
Which facilities require Legionella treatment?
According to current regulations, the following installations require this type of service:
- Sanitary water systems
- Cooling towers and evaporative condensers
- Evaporative cooling units
- Industrial humidifier plants
- Humidifiers
- Firefighting water systems
- Heated or climatized water systems (≥24 °C) with aerosolisation with/without agitation and recirculation via high-speed jets or air injection; multipurpose pool basins, play devices in pools, water play areas, mushroom fountains, curtains, cascades, etc.
- Ornamental fountains with aerosol diffusion and walkable fountains
- Urban or golf course/sports sprinklers
- Evaporative cooling devices using spray/aerosol cooling elements
- Vehicle washing systems
- Street cleaning or watering machines
- Any element intended for cooling and/or humidification that may generate aerosols not included in previous points
- Sanitary/therapeutic facilities: Respiratory therapy equipment.
- Respirators; nebulisers; pressurised water in dental treatments; therapeutic tubs; obstetric tubs for births; facilities using mineral-medicinal or thermal waters
Any other installation using water that produces or may produce aerosols posing a risk to public health.
